A boy who was only 12 years old, came from a remote area suffering from a disastrous disease SICKLING, was admitted at our city hospital. His real brother, died of the same disease 6 months ago. His Guardians called one of our team members and requested for three units of O- (Rare Group) blood group at about 10:15 PM night. Anyhow, we managed to provide 1 unit. Doctor’s said that remaining two units have to be arranged within 2-3 hours. But, after two hours at about 12:00 midnight, the boy died. At that time, 7 of our team members were present at the hospital. The first time, we realized and understood the importance and requirement of blood.
