The CRPF assistant commandant Manoranjan Singh has sacrificed his life in an encounter with naxals at the forest, some 12 kms away from Chintagufa police station of Dantewada district, today. Three other cops have been injured in this incident and eight others have been stated missing. According to I. G. Bastar, T. J. Langkumer, some 200 cops including Cobra battalion of CRPF, STF, DF and SPO’s were returning back today after completing successfully, the operation at Singanmadgu, located at Andhra Pradesh border in Kistarum area of Dantewada district, where it has completely destroyed the arms factory being run by the naxalites there. These cops were returning back in a number of different groups, meanwhile the naxals attacked over the cops rebuted regorously the naxal attack and have been succeeded to kill over 20 naxals during this encounter.
According to other reliable sources, three CRPF Personnel including the Assistant Commandant and three SPO’s have been killed in this encounter.
In another naxal event taken place, near Balachalam located in Andhra Pradesh border, after an hour long encounter with the naxals, the security forces have been succeeded to kill some two dozen naxals and have recovered one SLR , rifles and explosives in large number. As the police party has not yet returned back to respective police stations, the details of this encounter is awaiting. The bodies of the naxals killed by the police and recovered during the search after encounter have been brought to Konta police station.
In Dantewada district itself, at village Kamalur under Bhansi police station area, the naxals have killed two persons suspecting them to be police informers. The names of killed villagers area Mose Bhaskar and Chhano Bhaskar.
The naxals have knocked at Bastanar of Bastar district located on Jagdalpur-Geedam road in National highway. This fact has once again revealed the factor when the naxals set to fire one truck, last night at Bastanar Ghat.
